New computing meetings

Computing at School (CAS) Saffron Walden Mixed Community Meetings

SWCHS Computing staff are hosting termly CAS local community meetings of teachers and lecturers who wish to share their ideas for developing the teaching of computing in their schools, their classrooms and their community. They are meetings of like-minded professionals with the general objective of supporting each other and the specific aim of providing (at least) one idea that can be taken and tried in the classroom.

Barefoot Computing Meetings

The Barefoot Programme, supported by the Department for Education, will give you access to FREE high-quality resources and lesson plans. These workshop sessions, along with the resources are designed to help teachers gain confidence in bringing computer science to life in the classroom. You will take away in depth knowledge of one or more resources which can be used in your classroom, we will look at how they can fit in with topic work that you are doing, and links with other subject areas.
