School to School Support

The Cambridge Teaching School Network is committed to school improvement through a system of partnerships that draw upon the wide expertise of SLEs within our Network of schools in the region.  We have a proven track record of working with other schools and the capacity and integrity to undertake support for schools in challenging circumstances. This is by a schools for schools model and all of the support available is provided by senior and middle leaders from a wide range of school settings. Our schools have a track record of working with outstanding and underperforming schools in all contexts from diverse urban contexts to rural communities. We have a great deal of expertise in every area from improving the quality of teaching, to leadership coaching, behaviour management, policies and systems, data and tracking, curriculum design, timetabling, financial management, and individual subject support.
We are equipped and committed to providing a personalized, yet robust, support package within the Secondary, Primary and Special school sectors.

Support work can involve a single visit, work designated from a term to a year with individual or multiple SLEs being involved depending on need. Current commitments for example are within Secondary English and Maths departments, with SLEs from the Teaching School Alliance offering weekly support to raise standards in those departments. See our testimonials page for examples of the impact our SLEs have had.

‘Below are the headline figures - as you'll see they are far better than I think any of us could have dreamed of - evidence of sheer hard work, effort and determination from everyone Working with CATSA SLEs.

The upshot is that we have achieved the best ever results on 5+A*-C inc English and Maths, as a result of the actions we have taken we have improved the life chances of over 40 students.

I think you can see that we really did make a difference.

Thank you for your support and patience working with the team.

Roll on next year when we're aiming for 60% 5+ including English and Maths!’

The commissioning process is collaborative. The evaluation process is measured against the impact in the target areas and monitored through weekly and final evaluation forms.   Click here to see Costs.
