*NEW* Support Staff Middle Leaders Programme

Who is the programme for?

The Cambridge Teaching Schools Network is delighted to offer a new programme of professional development designed specifically for Support Staff with performance and line management responsibilities.  The programme is also suitable for those non-teaching staff who are aspiring to a management role within their school.  Developed by Senior Leaders from within the network, this programme will benefit managers working within exams, finance, HR, operations, administration, IT, behaviour support, data, catering and other non-teaching roles.

The programme is suitable for Support Staff working within a Primary, Secondary or Special school setting.

How is the programme delivered?

The programme is comprised of three sessions, either mornings or afternoons, within the school day. The sessions will run at approximately two week intervals. This allows time for reflection between sessions in the workplace and enables participants to gather information for discussion at subsequent sessions.  All sessions for the Autumn 2017 programme will be held at Swavesey Village College.  Dates and timings to be confirmed.

Key elements of the programme

  • Effective team leadership
  • Managing resources and budgets
  • Delivering change and improvement
  • Difficult conversations
  • Improving time management
  • Effective delegation
