The Future Teaching Scholars Programme

The Future Teaching Scholars programme is an exciting new initiative from Department for Education to get more maths and physics students into teaching. Applications are open to Year 13 students. 

Successful applicants will be awarded a significant scholarship programme that includes a £15,000 grant whilst they study at university, a place on an initial teacher training course paid as an unqualified teacher, support in finding their first teaching job, as well as extensive personal and professional development support for six years through a network of outstanding Teaching Schools.

The programme is looking to recruit current Year 13 students who are applying for physics or maths degrees (or related subjects) and who have an interest in going into teaching.
